With 35 years of experience, the talented staff of Brumfield Franks Tax Accounting are capable and dedicated to helping you with all of your tax, accounting and financial needs. Our goal is to help you achieve your goals.
Kristi Franks, Senior Accountant
Kristi Franks is a Senior Tax Accountant at Brumfield Franks Tax and Accounting. She graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Accounting and Economics. Before joining Brumfield Franks Tax, she worked at two local firms in Bellingham doing all levels of taxation and bookkeeping. She is a certified Quickbooks® Advisor and knowledgeable with a wide range of business.
Her favorite part about being an Accountant is the endless possibility to learn new things and helping clients with their tax returns. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband, two young children, fishing, and gardening.
Daniel Brumfield, Senior Tax Advisor and Consultant
Brumfield Franks Tax Accounting has been in Bellingham, Washington since 1984.
With a Bachelors Degree and 35 years of experience in accounting and small business, Dan has worked with changing economies and countless tax law revisions. As a comptroller of a multi-national business and owner of two successful start-up companies, Daniel brings education and experience to your door.
Jessica Hubbard, Bookkeeper
Jessica Hubbard is a bookkeeper at Brumfield Tax and Accounting. She graduated from Whatcom Community College with an Associates Degree. She has a few years of data entry and office administration experience. On top of her work at the office, her and her husband own a small gardening business, so she in knowledgeable in the small business area of accounting and taxation.
Outside of work, Jessica has 3 (about to be 4) young children who bring her so much joy. She also likes to explore the beautiful area we live in with her family.
Jennifer Brumfield, Paralegal
Jennifer Brumfield has worked as a paralegal in both Oklahoma and Washington and specializes in probate, real estate and corporate law. She acquired her education at the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma and has extensive legal experience working for law firms for over 30 years.
When she’s not working as a paralegal, she enjoys cooking, sewing and crafting. She has had her original recipes published in national magazines and has won several awards.

Derek Franks, Office Manager
Derek Franks is an Office Manager at Brumfield Franks Tax and Accounting. He graduated from Bellingham Technical College with an Associates Degree in Process Operations. He is the office ”go-to” guy and lends a helping hand whenever needed. Outside of work, Derek loves to Hunt and Fish, support his wife Kristi, and is a Father to 2 children.
Teresa Helm, Staff Accountant
Teresa is a Staff Accountant at Brumfield Franks Tax Accounting. She graduated from Coastal Valley College with a diploma in Business Office Bookkeeping. Her first job was with a CPA firm. She has several years of experience in the accounting industry in a variety of roles. Managing the accuracy of clients financial records and keeping financial data current are her daily goals. Teresa and her husband Bill recently relocated to Bellingham from central Arizona for his work.
When not working Teresa spends her time knitting, beading, gardening, beach combing, spending quality time with the two family cats and getting to know the area. During the summer her family can be found at baseball games. During the winter they like to attend hockey games.
